About us
The Safeguarding Children Service is an integrated multi agency team established in 2006. We brought together into a single service the child protection units formerly located in Children’s Social Care, Education and Health. We also incorporated staff from Integrated Practice and SafetyNet. We support the work of the Sheffield Safeguarding Children Board (SSCB), the statutory body responsible for overseeing safeguarding arrangements in the city.

Our offices are open 8.45am to 5.15pm Monday to Thursday and 8.45am to 4.45pm on Friday.
The Safetynet helpdesk is open 9.30am to 4.30pm
