Safeguarding Children
It's everyone's business!
We all have a statutory responsibility to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people. In order to assist the work of practitioners in the City, Sheffield Safeguarding Children Board (SSCB) is developing this website to provide easily accessible and up-to-date safeguarding information.
This includes policies, procedures and protocols; single and multi-agency training; information about SSCB projects, services, reports and implementation groups; latest news, contact details and links to other sites.
Most of the information on this site is generic and aimed at any worker who requires safeguarding children guidance. But there are also pages specific to staff in schools and early years settings. Information for children, families and the public will be included shortly.
In the meantime we welcome any feedback you may have on the content or presentation of this website, which you can provide via Quick Links.
